  • Wow! I was chosen to present workshops to two different Manitoba teacher associations at the annual professional developement day on October 19. “Genetics and Ethics” to the science teachers and “Memoir” to the english teachers. A great honour for either, a double honour to present to them both.

  • What a fantastic time delivering my Patient Engagement talk at the Patient Safety Education Program delivered in Whitehorse by the Canadian Patient Safety Insitute (CPSI). Not only is is great to talk to and with healthcare workers who are passionate about safe enviroments for patients but I also get to tell my story and inspire a greater depth of patient engagement at all levels of heathcare deployment.

  • It's October what? No way!? Kickstarter, that is the word of the day. On Saturday October 15th I launched a Kickstarter to fund my new book, Finding Wholeness. This book ends the cancer series but, like my play Three Things, it is not really about cancer. Instead it is about a spiritual journey toward a good life. I hope that you'll pledge to the campaign, that way I can actually print the book and you can get one (or 10). Here is the Kickstarter link, it will be running until noon on November 9th so act now: bit.ly/findingWholeness

  • Wow! Has it been that long since I updated this site? I am still around, I am still kicking, I have just been really busy. What's coming up? Well, I've got a trip to Toronto (and area) planned for the beginning of March. In there will be at least one presentation of What I Learned from Cancer. I'm still madly working away at Three Things: Stories about Life, my one-man play. More later.
