Here are some life events that Dennis is particularly proud of:
  • His birth, in which he was an active, albeit reluctant, participant
  • Well, there is the marriage to Debra (Esau) Maione
  • And there is the birth (well, that was mostly Debra), raising, and generally being bad example to Emma, Alex, and Noah
  • Some Education: B.Sc. Computer Science (University of Saskatchewan), M.Div (Canadian Theological Seminary), Master of Arts (Religion) with Honours (Canadian Theological Seminary)
  • Wrote 5 technical books (Microsoft operating systems) between 1999 and 2003, published by Pearson Educational Publishing (New Riders Imprint), which sold in excess of 50,000 copies and were printed in 5 languages
  • Owner/Operator of Ikthuse Consulting (network design and maintenance, custom software development, training) from 1999 to 2009 with many happy clients over the years
  • Completed 2 Ironman triathlons: Ironman Canada (Penticton) in 2012 and Ironman Louisville (Kentucky) in 2013
  • Wrote and independently published What I Learned from Cancer (Sept 2014) and have sold in excess of 1,000 copies
  • Was a member of the Winnipeg Broadcast Media Volunteer team for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2015 Canada

Dennis is a proud member of the Manitoba Writers Guild, the Creative NonFiction Collective Society, the Manitoba Storytelling Guild, the Writers' Union of Canada, and is the 2014/15/16 Reader in Residence for the Literacy Partners of Manitoba.
